The Transitional Season Staple

Nothing ever quite prepares you for spring in London. And the recent record-breaking warm spell that we had didn’t really help, as one day I’m dressing in a winter coat and the next, I’m practically naked! It’s enough to drive you to therapy and in my case, you can prefix that with the word shoe as nothing will cheer me up more than a little French Sole shoe therapy! So, before you can say ‘The rain in Spain falls mainly on the…’, added to my collection for spring is the elegant Arabella style.
It was love at first sight, or rather first try. I simply couldn’t resist the sophisticated almond shape, which is incredibly flattering to the feet and the fact that these beauties come in nude, one of the most stylish colours of SS19. It’s a real must-have for any shoe-gal who appreciates the importance of neutral colours in her wardrobe. They’re also the perfect transition shoes during these capriciously changeable climatic conditions! Thank goodness for the classic trench coat, that like my new Arabella French Sole ballet flats will never go out of style and it’s currently my preferred between-seasons outwear. The neutral coat and shoes are a real fashion-match made in heaven, a perfect compliment to all of those trendy colours of the season, from mint green, pale blue, through bright yellow and orange.
I’m thrilled, that my French Sole Arabella flats in nude go so well with all of my carefully picked outfits. The busy-bee that I am, I’m now able to plan my looks at least a few days in advance. So let’s call that Amelie Florentine 1 – Changeable Weather 0. And happy to report, that regardless of the occasion, time of the day or type of print on any of my dresses, be it leopard, dots or flowers, it is all in the keeping of current fashion trends.
I’m very curious how other French Sole fans are styling their French Sole Arabella flats. Do mention #frenchsoleblogbyamelie on your Instagram and I’ll be reposting the most creative looks on our FS page.
