Sunshine, Sightseeing, and Slippers!

Hello dear readers, and welcome to June!
We had our brief, summer splash of sun last week (far too hot for me personally but a lovely chance to whip out my sandals and an equally lovely excuse to treat myself to that much-needed pedicure). Now we’re creeping from June into July already – halfway through the year, time flies!
It’s a joy to be out and about again, and I’ve thrown myself headfirst into jumping back into theatres, museums and galleries – all my favourite places to spend my free time. Being able to go back into my favourite places feels like a hug from an old friend – and of course, each of these delights requires me to dip into my wardrobe and find the perfect pair of shoes to take each special trip with me!
For my little trip to the theatre, I wore my brand new Queen Bee Hefner slippers – although I didn’t quite manage to steal the show from the stars on stage, I came close when everybody caught sight of the exquisite stitching! The black velvet was absolutely perfect for the event – sophisticated, classy, but a little something special thanks to my beautiful bee decorating the body of the shoe. Worn with my little black dress (AT LAST! Liberated from my wardrobe after a year!) I decided to tie it all together with a sweet gold-buckle belt and a few dashes of gold in my ears and around my neck.
And before I get carried away telling you about the delight of the theatre, let me not forget about the amazing deal I spied on the French Sole website this week – remember my rather enthusiastic rambling about the knee-high Ebury boots that came in not too long ago? Well, my friends, not only are the still available but they are on sale! All three styles – supple black leather, smooth soft black suede, and smart navy suede – are reduced by an incredible 40%, down to £150 a pair!
So what are you waiting for? These beautiful boots are a steal at that price, and you can rest reassured knowing that your winter (or English summer) shoe wear is all ready for you!
I hope you are all enjoying the fresh air, occasional bit of sunshine, and of course, your lovely French Sole shoes.
As always, stay safe!
