I do, I do, I do!

I do, I do, I do!

My best friend is getting married and I’m overwhelmed with joy! Preparations for the big day have been in full swing for the past six months and we are but a shoe-fitting away from my friend saying “I do.” As a well-known purveyor of French Sole shoes, some friends even call me a shoe-aholic, but I prefer the term, footwear-aficionado, I was given the task of finding the perfect pair of French Sole shoes for the bride, as well as for all of her bridesmaids.

Nothing could be simpler, or so I thought, than finding a pair of elegant white shoes from a brand synonymous with good taste. After all, it’s not like choosing a wedding gown where you are spoiled for choice and endless possibilities. As it turned out, however, I couldn’t be more wrong. There are at least a dozen shoes, in French Sole’s collections, which are screaming to be worn at a wedding. Impossible choice and we all knew we couldn’t have them all. Or could we!

We started with the dazzling Henrietta flats adorned with luxurious ivory glitter. It was love at first shoe-sight. Or at least I thought it was until the bride to be spotted the satin Love Heart with crystal “I do” motif. Then, as if by divine intervention, the song “Chapel Of Love” came on the radio. And as we were singing the words;

“Birds all sing as if they knew

Today’s the day we’ll say “I do”

And we’ll never be lonely anymore

Because we’re goin’ to the chapel and we’re gonna get married,”

We knew that we’d found the perfect wedding shoes for the bride.

The Satin and Glitter Love Heart flats were the obvious shoe-choice for the bridesmaids, whereas the bride’s mother opted for my favourite Knightsbridge shoes with glitter oversized bow. Of course, my friend didn’t have the heart to leave the glitter Henrietta flats behind, so she bought them to wear at her Honeymoon. You see now how is easy it is to get addicted to French Sole shoes!

With love,

Amélie Florentine
